Lately I've been more and more into black metal.
I'm still exploring the more popular bands (Emperor, Immortal, etc.), and checking out a few less known bands.
If any of you guys have some recommendations, please let me know
Note: I'm not too fond of raw low-production black metal, and I'd rather not listen to NSBM bands (out of principle)
Melodic/pagan black metal are still my favorite (Carpathian Forest, Catamenia, Hindvir, etc.), although I can appreciate some good depressive/suicidal black metal (Shining, Silencer, etc.) as well...

Checked out a few of those bands, and also 1349.
Awesome stuff all around

Another good DSBM band is Forgotten Tomb.

And perhaps Silencer (not for the faint of heart though, it's downright scary, disturbing schizophrenic music with bone-chilling screams, the vocalist was institutionalized shortly after, and "Death: Pierce Me" shows you why)

I've heard a lot about Hypothermia, but can't seem to find any of their stuff anywhere

I'm getting more and more into it, not limiting myself to melodic black metal either.
I made a list journal at last.fm similar to my pagan/folk/viking one, so I'll be updating that and hopefully people will recommend me some more over there

Guys,I saw here lots of ...not good recommendations.Come on,Vlad Tepes is raw black metal,not melodical.Ah..let me recommend some:
Woods of Ypres,Avathar,Azeroth,Root,God,Sear Bliss,Obsidian Gate,Hromovlad,Temnozor(pagan),Janvs,Le grand guignol(quite simphonic stuff),Minal Morgul,Walknut,Sorcier des Glaces,Asgaard,Barathrum,Carpe Tenebrum,Daemonarch.Now that is a almost correct list(it has some simphonic bm bands,pagan bands but in generaly a type of bm more calm,more peaceful,nature inspiring).

LE:Forgot about Tvangeste.The vocalist from Arafel sings in Tvangeste too.If I remember something else,I'll post here.
LLE:Orkrist and Mustan Kuun Lapset,first is from Slovakia,second Finland.

Temnozor is not quite nsbm.Listen to Folkstorm of azure nights and Horizons.It has deeply roots in paganism,not in Nsbm.For instance Watch the falcons fly,the song..you can see part of lyrics looking like this:Watch the falcons fly

There is nothing about arian supremacy or another nazi thing in here.Just slavonic paganism. Obsidian Gate is simphonic,but still..melodic,simphonic..similar.Not a major difference like raw bands,ex.Beherit, and more simphonic ones,ex.Limbonic art.

Ps:try Limbonic art too.The lyrics talks mostly about misanthropy ,but they sound amazing.
