Les traces de la branche rouge (The traces of the red branch)
we come from isles from the west seas
from steppes where comes into sight the burning heavenly body
where wind and ground argue their gifts
and the grease of sacrifices
iced north grounds where spirits are born
our friendship is forged in the fire and blood
into the noise of weapon
closed by potations
sacred singing of the bards
united around the last tree spared by war
loike others before us, we have promised by the red branch
we have linked our destinies and chosen to follow pillages until the latest
those whom born into the storms
watching future from one eyed only
joined us
throwing us between the worlds.
our journey brought back to us
inside the world from half where bleed humans
we have promised together on the red branch
like others before us
over grounds for mortals
we have seen alfes and fairies, awful giants running on ices
we have learnt norns secrets
and seen the bloody web of destiny

2. Formors, mer de glaces et d'ombre (Sea of ice and shadow)
sea of ice and shadow
full , where were born Giants
far away of of shadowed lands
our boats broken the ice
our conjurations move aside storms
our lookings drown into kingdom of shadow
one eyed only front of the sea
Blinking in blinding light
from a stolen past
from fire and bronze beings
from the one wearing caldron
anf who wanted to fight those who command cold
the night, i repeat their names like an irremovable litany
their name, the first
the one that men have never known
the onen that men prolly have forgotten
that day when cold shut down the iced looking of my father
is a sorrow still
alone to remember me of their sad feats
already young faded gods
one eyed only front of the sea
Blinking in blinding light
from a stolen past
from fire and bronze beings
from the one wearing caldron
anf who wanted to fight those who command cold
the night, i repeat their names like an irremovable litany
their name, the first
the one that men have never known
the onen that men prolly have forgotten
only one eye opened on the rubbish of the ancient times
i dream of the crash of that unique battle that we have lost - and i see
the spear and the caldron shredded by one thousand crocs of ice
i see the oak covered with white frost, and its glans blackened by winter.

3. Formors, exil (Banishment)
from our banishment
the ancient singings reaches us
which narrate
the wound of the dead gods
from all those who bannished us
and then banned by the iron power
from those who consumed in silence
Intoxicated by incense by waiting their turn
inside our iced banishment
we cultivate the ancient powers
dreaming of a revenge
where the sense brokes itself like swords
forgotten kings under the tumulus of stone
cherishing a revenge
against those who have known the bite of iron
and who have chosen the banishment under poor hummocks
and the damned isles where the eternal sunshine
our eye doesnt know tears nor fear
the implacable magic which runs into our veins
is waiting it hour
in the time when the winter will stretch over lowlands
formors magic will born slowly again
then we'll get back our lands again where we were banished
not a spear will destroy the iced power from my unique eye
in our iced banishment
we cultivate the ancient powers
the turnt looking to the damned isles where the eternal sunshine

4. Gwaenardell (Gwaenardell)
The sea tears the banks of Ebonia
Echouée between the lands of the fairies and the chasms of the men
Squatted in the wasteland
Licking rinds on the hands
Gwaenardell dreams of his brothers
she digests the blood of the last animal
Gather clots
And lamb's slowly
The Western doors are rounded off - Empty foam
Beyond circles of Manannan
Under the wind the rock is cold
Sweetheart the conflicts of the men
She listens to the words of the poets
And divert his looks of the Western doors
Which are closed forever - dances succeed to dances
In the heat of the human being
Words and blood feed fire

5. Le combat des arbres (The battle of the trees)
I dressed a multitude of aspect
before to take my final form
I was narrow and gold spear
I was way, I was eagle
I was fishers' boat on the sea
I was victuals of banquet
I was drop in the torrential rain
I was a sword in the embrace of hands
shield in battle
string on a harp
So during nine years
In water, in foam
I was sponge in fire
Tree in mysterious wood
I was formed by the fruit of fruits
By the flowers of trees and shrubs
By earth and its running of the Earth
I was formed by the flowers of the nettle
By the water of the ninth stream
I played at night
Slept in dawn
I was in the small boat
The son of wave
On the height of the mountain
I was blotchy snake
I was adder in the lake
I was a bird in the bent back beak
The hero of bloody meadows
In the middle of hundred leaders
Red is the stone of my belt
My shield is edged with gold
I sang the battle of the trees
In front of the leader of the bards of Brittany

6. Les griffes des oiseaux (The labels of birds)
this one is based on celtic mythology.and Conaire Mor sagas who was a supreme (high) king of Ireland.
some explanations and knowledges: geis/geisa/geasa = magical conjuration
Da derga is the Da Derga's hostel where ennemies killed him.
Tara is the capitol of the 5th kingdom called Meath
Meath today: http://www.meath.ie/
A bit of story of Meath Heritage: http://www.meath.ie/Tourism/Heritage/
wiki talks about Conaire Mór.
Nemglan is a bird god.

A sling in the hand bare on the road
I have broken the first geis
My penitence does not satisfy destiny
My life begins, out of rhythm
On this only cannonball of sling
Which makes of me a pariah and a king
Out of the equilibrium of the world, there is no forgiveness
The torque which I put on in Tara
Is as the necklace which they cross to the neck of the slaves
I am the prisoner of too many proscriptions
One after another, I would break them. All. It doesn't much matter when
I have broken all geisa
The hour came
In the residence of Da Derga
The torque of gold on my shoulders
Another instant out of rhythm
But the Gods did not forget me
I am Conaire Mor
The man of the dream
The Nemglan' son
And the hour came
Three times, the home was in fire
Three times fire died
I hear the first words of conjuration
And I know that water will not be there to quench my thirst anymore
My friend left, he will come back too late
I have broken all geasa
The hour came
I am the king thirsty by the wisdom of a druid
The legs of birds will take my skull
Labels sink in my fleshes
Bring me back in night
Far from Tara.

7. Ventres noirs (Black bellies)
They run behind him
Numerous, black and gasping-
On his rigid nape
Their breath of meat and blood
Compact assembly
Swarming
Their members collide and mingle
Hang on to the ground
The man knows their gaping faces
To swallow the world
From their broad holes
Their yellow smiles
He knows their eyes orange
Their sticky fur
On the lukewarm sides, tears
The pink skin which shows on the surface by places
Piercing the black bellies
Which brush the ground
The man knows that they sometimes crack up
On their clawed legs and hails
That they stumble and often subside
In muddy snow
But he also knows that they are so numerous
That others will trample them to continue running
He runs
The blue hands which beat air - eyes in the sky and the burning chest
It is near a tree that finally the man lies down
The only tree on this dry ground
He spreads his thin body
In the paleness of root
Near a tree not to be alone
To wait for them

8. Manannan Mac Lir (Manannan Mac Lir)
Manannan Mac Lir is a celtic god of oceans. you'll find more about him here

On the threshold he notices
Those of lands
Those who sail and drown
The eyes are of sand and ashes
In the hands consume fires of shipwrecked
Manannan Mac Lir notices shores
And take a boat which brokes on the hungry hooks of granite
He models the winds which go up to the sands
Share stars
Which go out in morning
When appears the ground
Behind patches of mist
His eyes are of sand and ashes
Of water of foam and stone
Fixed on the unstable expanse of seas
He strokes the rotten seaweeds, the bones of the drowned men
The dreams of skylines
Which grow on his shores and break
As so many wrecks corroded by salt
He saw Amorgen kissing ground
But he chose to stay on the threshold
Abandoning fields, stock, war
Turning the back to the promises of the green lands
