No one's talked about the English pionneer of Folk-metal, so here they come

Skyclad, created in 1990, pretty much as a thrash with some folk-influence band, but with very... excentric lyrics : puns, jokes, that's... Skyclad ^^
More recent material enhances the Folk side, but still, those puns, those jokes, those allusions...
Musically, it's a strange blend, you've got violin, you've got acoustic guitar playing virtually all the time - even at the same time as the electric guitar- being merely rhythmical most of the time, but adding to the atmosphere...
I was kind of stunned by the band, not expecting that at all... They're... Original !
