| Today I have a day off, so I decided to start the translations... My english is bad, and russian is a very difficult language, so it's not a real translation, it's more a "re-telling". Also, I've mixed some lines together, because the word order in russian is very difficult from english. Here's what I did.
Tracklist of the album : 1. Верная Пинта / Pint 2. Еловый Корень / Fir Root 3. Хорошо Быть Пивоваром / Good To Be A Brewer 4. Гудбруд Гудбрудссон Советует / Gudbrud Gudbrudsson Advices 5. Тролль Гнет Ель / Troll Bends Fir 6. Забытые Гимны Оленей / Forgotten Hymns Of Deers 7. Гутен Таг! / Guten Tag! 8. Мой Хмельной Мед / My Heady Honey 9. Сосновый Браги / Pine Bragi 10. Брюнхильд, Моя Брюнхильд / Brunhild My Brunhild 11. Хо! (текст утерян) / Ho!
1. Верная Пинта / Pint (or "Dear Pint")
All my friends Know the name of my beloved - I often name her "my Dear Pint". How many times in my arms you've met the sunrise... Again, you'll say to me "yes", not embarassed under other's gazing, One more time, I'll be tipsy with your kiss, fragrant as barley flower, The floor will drift away again, from under my legs... my sweety Pint!
Your golden soul is fathomless and wider than a hundred seas, Every evening I go unconscious on your bottom with a rock around my neck... There's no wife more constant than you - you comfort me, and I Swear with tears that I'm yours to the guts, My loyal Pint!
All my friends know the name of my beloved - Though no one has seen her... For those five years, while I drink in the pub!
2. Еловый Корень / Fir Root
If you need a pair of new shoes, You have to know - my cutter's always ready to start the work. No useless meditate - your coming here is required, It s not a secret, that in all our neighborhood I'm unrivalled in the craft.
Rumours say, that I was found in the forest under a fir stump Sleeping in a bilberry bush, were raised with hare milk. I'm humpbacked as a fir root, my skin's as bark, That's why everyone avoids me for two centuries...
At home inside forest thicket timid beast is a frequent visitor, Old and young ones, know - my door is always hospitably open, We'll make first-rate shoes, that won't wear out in a hundred years, Come and listen to the song of a tree in my hand! |

| 3. Хорошо Быть Пивоваром / Good To Be A Brewer
It's good to be a brewer - to be fat, kind and old enough, To abandon all the girlfriends and be among only beer tankards, For rubbish like thoughts about beautiful-faced girls Didn't prevent to the main beer-brewing craft.
I declarate - I decided to be a beer-brewer not without reason: Everybody knows that only true men can brew beer. Everybody - old and young ones - respect you, If you proudly bear a title - "Scandinavian Beer Brewer".
In an ancient and dark dungeon herb's fermenting in a copper tub, It's judged to become amber in someone's greedy mouth. Its time is expiring soon, and it will be free, The scummy moisture will flow into goblets, then dance inside a stomach. We'll put benches in the mountain and make a huge feast for all the world, We'll call Atli, Hogni, Tror and also all other friends! But a trouble happened again - I always take samples Every day till the end of a period, strictly watching after the fermenting. As result - in the beer vat there's only half of a mug... And there guests are coming... Well, I clear out!
4. Гудбруд Гудбрудссон Советует / Gudbrud Gudbrudsson Advices
Gudbrud Gudbrudsson is the best musician, He braids his beard in three plaits. He gathers his three plaits in his belt, Goes outside early in the morning and shouts with his ringing voice: "Skjoll!"
Gudbrud Gudbrudsson is the best musician, Though no one heard his playing. There's no doubt he is the best scald, The most sly grandpa in Trondheim!
Gudbrud Gudbrudsson advices everyone, How to be a musician for so many years, as he does: Those people make new songs, Whose old songs are good for nothing. Only that one practices playing, Whose ears were stepped on by a bear. Remember, you can't drink away your talent! That's what you have to know to be a musician.
5. Тролль Гнет Ель / Troll Bends Fir
"Hey, Troll! Set out to Yule! Stop bending fir, it's time to drink ale!"
Once, an old troll decided to go on a glorious Yule celebration, But he didn't saw a fir round a mountain, so he striked it with his leg. Roar and howl sounded in forest, when troll striked that fir with his leg In a long woolen sock, in a wooden shoe /in a wooden shoe!/
Of course, that troll wasn't glad to spoil his nice costume, All the forest is trembling, Hel is shaking, You may believe or not, but, while roaring, the troll bends fir still! |

| 6. Забытые Гимны Оленей / Forgotten Hymns Of Deers
Moss-grown firs know forgotten hymns of deers, Charmed water sleeps there inside the lace of forests.
Forest slowly draws its runes by a deer path, If you figured out their meaning - you've mastered the wisdom.
How can I find them? Tell me, my raven!
Those firs during childhood heard forgotten hymns of deers, Who'll sing that song - will get courage spirit in the heart.
Wind has that song in his pipe, hero has it in his beard. Echo of those songs sleeps in mountains, in hair of grey hills.
How can I find them? Tell me, my raven!
7. Гутен Таг! / Guten Tag!
I've seen many things in battles and on feasts, Sometimes I was legendary rich, sometimes I had trouble for nothing... But no matter, if sun poured its light or gloom cloaked around me, Everytime, my "sonorous troll" was near me" and my halberd "Guten Tag!"!
And if I was bored, I used to hit the troll with my thumbnail - And the steel troll began ringing out and singing his song. Then I used to find a lair, where sleepy enemy hides - And I whispered to his ear with halberd "Guten Tag!"
Recently my dear friends played a trick on me: I married a girl and laid down with that young maiden. And I replied so on the silent question in her eyes: -"Always with me is my loyal troll and halberd "Guten Tag!"
8. Мой Хмельной Мед / My Heady Honey
Years pass, and every day I drink my heady mead And I discovered a secret - If you have mead, then you haven't it in a moment!
/NOTE: in Russian the word "мед" ("miod") means both honey and mead. The last sentence is taken from the russian cartoon about Winnie-The-Pooh - Winnie sang a song about honey, where were words "I can't understand that secret - if you have honey, then you haven't it in a moment!"/
9. Сосновый Браги / Pine Bragi
Bragi drank a lot of braga, as soon as he went to the shore from dreka, Right after a deadly battle he got on noisy Althingi.
Althingi is an all-folk event, quite suitable for rest! Mug at the left, tankard at the right - Bragi cheers excellently!
Bragi got drunk because of braga, The vagabond was going to fall into a tipsy sleep... So he turned his drunk steps to the three pines near fjord.
And I have to tell you, that Bragi was the example of courage, But he had one defect - Bragi wasn't in friendship with counting.
So, Bragi had slept out and then strayed among the pines for eight days. And now Bragi's been called "Pine Bragi" for eight years already...
/NOTE - braga is a simple alcoholic drink, made of water, sugar and yeast/ |

| 10. Брюнхильд, Моя Брюнхильд / Brunhild My Brunhild
My wife says, that I have a big defect, My wife says, that I'm deadly drunk, every day. She says, that I don't give her a rest every day, She promises to separate me from her body...
But if a bird flew round this body - She'd flap her wings for three days and then fell dead, A beast would run for four days and broke all his feet, Would damn everything in the world - that's what my Brunhild is like.
My wife says, that I'm stubborn as a ram, She constantly tells me that I'm a drunk boor. She tells everybody about me as a die-hard scoundrel, My wife says - and her face changes.
But if anyone saw that face - he'd ran to the edge of the world, A dwarf would hide underground and choked with his beard. Wouldn't wave it away for a day, wouldn't recover his breath for three days - That's what is my cutie Brunhild, kind people.
Night comes, and I go home, and stand with wobbling. But what can I do else? Only in that condition You can be a bit pretty for me.
11. Хо! (текст утерян) / Ho! /text lost/
